NodeKit Collaborates with EigenDA

We’re excited to announce our partnership with EigenDA! EigenDA will offer rollups integrated into SEQ a scalable, secure, cheap, and Ethereum-centric DA solution built by Eigenlayer.

EigenDA is a secure, high throughput, and decentralized data availability (DA) service built on top of Ethereum using the Eigenlayer restaking primitive. Developed by EigenLabs, EigenDA is the first actively validated service (AVS) to launch on EigenLayer.

At NodeKit, we strive to serve modular use cases while remaining flexible to help people build anything their heart desires. From the first time we met with the EigenDA team, we realized we were building towards the same goal, so we decided to build out an integration that would utilize EigenDA for DA and SEQ for decentralized shared sequencing built on top of the OP Stack framework. The team at EigenLayer Labs was a tremendous help from the start and we were able to do the EigenDA integration on top of our modified OP Stack in less than a day with testing taking the most time. 

The team at NodeKit plans to support EigenDA for many integrations in the future because it fulfills a key need of low latency, high throughput DA which is critical for many appchains. EigenDA has the additional feature of dual quorum which allows for rollups building on SEQ to have increased security. The final feature that EigenDA provides is horizontal scaling just like SEQ, which allows users to scale both their sequencing as well as their DA seamlessly and avoid any limitations. 

By building on EigenDA, rollups can seamlessly use ETH-powered DA, enabling scalability and high performance. We are excited about this partnership and look forward to working with the EigenDA team to build the next generation of rollups!
